Zoom has a broad line of VoIP hardware products, including the following:
Analog Telephone Adapters (ATA):
These plug into the Ethernet port of a router connected to broadband, and let
you use normal phones for Internet Telephone calls (also called VoIP). All models deliver superior voice quality and support QOS.
Many models come with the Zoom TelePort feature which allows automatic access to public phone network for emergency services like E911 and 112 calling.
All have proven compatibility with SIP-standard servers from Asterisk, Cisco, NetCentrix, Quintum and more.
X5v:
A single integrated product with an ADSL modem, ATA with TelePort™, router,
firewall, and 4-port switching hub. Integrated ADSL modem is compatible with broadband services worldwide.
V3:
A single integrated product that plugs into the Ethernet port of a cable or
DSL modem and includes an ATA with TelePort, router, firewall, and 4-port
switching hub.
All of these products use SIP, the standard protocol for handling calls
over the Internet. Many of Zoom’s products feature TelePort, which
connects to a phone line and lets a phone work over two lines: either
a typical phone line or over VoIP. TelePort provides the safety of a
conventional phone line and the powerful, money-saving advantages of
VoIP. TelePort is a great way to handle emergency dialing (for instance
911), alarm systems and many other important issues.
